Dear Friends and Collectors:

This year has been another journey of strife and success.

The summer was too damn hot to work outside, or too wet when I was up around the Northshore. But work I did: June, August and then September in Duluth, whilst caring for my dear friend Hummingbird.

Trees, a life of their own making, dwell grounded in the ever changing weather, seasonally, for decades or a fleeting 20 years. Winds of change, the glistening snows can ravage a limb or cast a shadow on the stark forest, it is so silent, a wolf's call can alarm ones instincts . I hear a natural history calling me back eons, shooting stars from childhood's immensity towards the future. Yearning for purity of intention, art can replicate a life's journey toward spirit and adventure. I am telling you, that artist work is a sacrifice, we give up so much to experience so much. You, a telling audience...so subtly aware of nuance, that speaks like a shared vision to your own heritage, be it a song or a poem or a painting or just a rubbing of a birch bark tree.

Come take a rest after the political season, the stressors over power and public service, and listen to my Poet friend, Thomas R. Smith; www.thomasrsmithpoet.com/

read from his new book of Poems, THE FOOT OF THE RAINBOW (Ingli created the cover art) published by RED DRAGON FLY PRESS of Northfield www.reddragonflypress.org/music/3261. and enjoy the plush, yet Sweet Solo, Acoustic Jazz guitar performed by maestro David Roos, a principal member of the Jazz Trio: Exquisite Corps Jazz Trio
